Mud, clay and the Black River valley: where to put an Elyria unit
Elyria's clay soil turns soft after rain, especially on low yards near the Black River and its branches. Put the unit on a driveway, patio or gravel pad when you can. Our truck must stay on a hard surface within about 25 feet, and we do not drive on lawns.
Older homes near downtown and Washington Avenue often have narrow drives and detached garages. Newer ranch homes on the west side usually have a wide two-car drive with room to spare. A gate must be 48 inches wide for us to hand-cart a unit into the backyard.
If you choose a grass spot on wet ground, we are not liable for ruts. The placement checklist covers slope, wires and branches.
Elyria jobs: industrial parks, rehabs and new homes
Quick answerElyria jobsite rentals run on a 28-day cycle from $145, with weekly pumping, cleaning and restocking included. We place units for crews in the industrial areas along the Route 57 corridor, for remodels in older neighborhoods, and for new home builds. The cycle renews until you ask for pickup.
For crews of 10 or fewer on a 40-hour week, 1 standard unit with weekly service is our suggestion. Larger crews can add twice-weekly service at $55 per extra visit. OSHA's construction sanitation rule sets the legal minimum.
Approved contractors can apply for net-15 invoicing. See construction porta potty rental for the full setup.
Apple Festival weekend, Cascade Park gatherings and Elyria permits
Quick answerElyria's Apple Festival weekend in the fall and spring graduation weeks are the busiest times for Elyria events, so book 7 or more days ahead. Reunions in Cascade Park or other city parks need the park's own approval first. Street placement needs a City of Elyria permit, which the customer obtains.
For a park reunion of 100 guests over 4 hours, plan 2 standard units and a hand-wash station if food is served. Add 1 wheelchair-accessible unit for older relatives. For street placement, start at the City of Elyria website. We provide the size for the form: about 44 by 47 inches and 90 inches tall.

Elyria, OH: common questions
How much does a porta potty cost in Elyria for one weekend?
A standard event unit in Elyria starts at $165 for 1–3 days, plus Lorain County sales tax. Delivery and pickup are included. For a Saturday event, we drop Friday and pick up Monday with no charge for the extra days.
Can you set a porta potty on my Elyria lawn after a rainy week?
A lawn spot after heavy rain is risky in Elyria's clay soil, so we prefer a driveway or gravel pad. The truck stays on hard ground within about 25 feet of the spot. We are not liable for ruts on wet grass if you chose that spot.
Do you deliver near Lorain County Community College?
Addresses around Lorain County Community College on North Abbe Road are inside our included delivery area. Campus or event organizers should confirm placement rules with the college before we drop units.
We need a toilet for a new house build in Elyria Township. Can you deliver by lot number?
A new build with no street address yet can be delivered using the parcel number, GPS pin or nearest cross street. Text us a photo of the spot and mark it with a flag. The unit renews every 28 days with weekly service included.
Is a wheelchair-accessible unit available for an Elyria reunion?
A wheelchair-accessible unit starts at $225 for an event. It has a ground-level floor, grab bars and a 60-inch turning circle inside. It does not have a sink, so add a hand-wash station if food is served. See the wheelchair-accessible porta potty page.
How do I end a monthly porta potty rental in Elyria?
Ending an Elyria monthly rental takes a text or call 2 business days before the pickup date you want. Billing stops on that pickup date. There is no contract and no removal fee.
