My event is on Saturday. When do you drop it off and pick it up?
Quick answerA Saturday event unit is dropped off Friday, or early Saturday morning, and picked up Monday. The extra days cost nothing. The event price covers 1 to 3 days, plus delivery and pickup across Cleveland and nearby counties. Delivery and pickup run Monday to Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm, and never on Sunday.
Friday drop-off gives you time to check the spot before guests arrive. The driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arrival, inside a 4-hour window. You do not need to be home if the spot is marked.
Sunday events work the same way: we deliver Saturday and pick up Monday.
Event porta potty rental in Cleveland: how many units do you need?
Quick answerAn event of up to 50 guests for 4 hours needs 1 standard unit, and each extra 50 guests adds 1 more unit. Longer events, alcohol and mostly-women crowds raise the count. The chart below follows the portable sanitation industry sizing method, and our full calculator walks through each adjustment.
| Guests | Units for 4 hours, no alcohol |
|---|---|
| Up to 50 | 1 |
| 100 | 2 |
| 150 | 3 |
| 200 | 4 |
| 250 | 5 |
| 300 | 6 |
Add units for these
- Longer than 4 hours: add 1 unit per 100 guests for every extra 2 hours, rounded up.
- Beer or alcohol: add 1 unit per 100 guests, rounded up, at least 1.
- Mostly women: add 1 unit per 150 guests.
Worked example: a 180-guest block party
A block party with 180 guests runs 6 hours and serves beer and food.
- Base count for 180 guests: round up to the 200 row, so 4 units.
- Two extra hours: 180 ÷ 100 = 1.8, round up to 2 more units.
- Beer: 180 ÷ 100 = 1.8, round up to 2 more units.
- Total: 8 units, and 1 of them should be wheelchair-accessible.
- Food: add 3 to 4 hand-wash stations (1 per 2–3 toilets).

Do event units get cleaned during the rental?
An event porta potty arrives cleaned and stocked with 2 rolls of toilet paper and hand sanitizer, but it is not serviced during a 1 to 3 day rental. A standard unit handles roughly 200 uses. For multi-day festivals or big crowds, add a mid-event service visit for $55.
A service visit pumps the tank, wipes the unit and restocks paper. Most one-day parties do not need one if the unit count matches the chart above. Weekend festivals with gates open both days usually do.

Do I need a wheelchair-accessible unit for my event?
Quick answerPublic events should have at least 5% of the units in each group wheelchair-accessible, with a minimum of 1. That is the 2010 ADA Standards rule for portable toilets. A wheelchair-accessible unit runs from $225 for 1 to 3 days, and it helps older guests and parents with strollers too.
Our wheelchair-accessible units have a ground-level floor, grab bars, a door about 36 inches wide and a 60-inch turning circle inside. Read the rule at the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design (section 213.2). Learn more about our handicap porta potty rental.
Do I need a hand-wash station if we're serving food?
Events serving food should add 1 hand-wash station for every 2 to 3 toilets. A two-sided hand-washing station runs from $95 for 1 to 3 days, holds about 20 gallons of fresh water, and covers roughly 200 to 250 washes. Each station has soap, paper towels and foot pumps.
Set the station right next to the toilets, not by the food line. Guests wash on the way out. See our hand-washing station rental page for sizes.

Can you put it in a park or on the street?
Quick answerA park or street placement usually needs a permit from the city or park district, and the customer gets that permit. Cleveland street placement needs a right-of-way or obstruction permit. We tell you the size to list: about 44 inches wide by 47 inches deep for each standard unit.
Check with the City of Cleveland at clevelandohio.gov, or your suburb's city hall, before booking a street spot. Parks often lock their own restrooms during events, so ask the park office too. The truck must reach within about 25 feet on a hard surface, and we do not drive on lawns.
How do I mark the spot and light it at night?
Quick answerMark the spot with a cone, flag, chalk X or a texted photo, and the driver sets the unit there even if you are not home. Units have a translucent roof for daylight but no lights inside. For evening events, hang battery lanterns near the doors and on the path.
- Pick level, firm ground. Grass, gravel and pavement are fine.
- Keep the spot clear of low wires and branches under 12 feet.
- Leave a path at least 48 inches wide if we must hand-cart through a gate.
- Set cones around the units at races and markets so runners and carts steer clear.
Our porta potty placement checklist covers every step.
Common questions
Do you charge extra for the extra days over the weekend?
A Saturday event unit dropped Friday and picked up Monday costs the same as a one-day rental. The event price from $165 per standard unit covers 1 to 3 days, delivery and pickup, plus Ohio sales tax.
How do I go about getting one for a church event next Saturday?
A church event next Saturday is plenty of notice outside the busiest weeks. Call (216) 223-2644 or use the quote form with the address, guest count and spot. Tax-exempt churches should send the exemption certificate so tax comes off the invoice.
Can you deliver to a park or parking lot for a 5K race?
A 5K race setup in a park or parking lot is fine when the truck can reach within about 25 feet on pavement. Most races put units near the start and finish. Line them up in a row and set cones so runners have a clear path.
Are you booking up for July 4th?
July 4th week is one of our busiest, along with graduation season, Labor Day and fall festivals. Book at least 7 days ahead for those weeks. Booking is free to cancel up to 24 hours before delivery.
Will the event porta potty be safe in a park over the weekend?
An event porta potty in a park has a lock hasp, so you can add your own padlock until the event starts. Normal wear is on us. Tipping, fire, graffiti or vandalism is billed at repair cost, capped at $1,200 per standard unit.
Is the event unit nicer than a construction unit?
An event unit arrives cleaned and stocked with 2 rolls of paper and sanitizer. For guests who want more, the deluxe flushing unit with a sink starts at $265 for 1 to 3 days. See our flushing porta potty rental page.
Is the event price per day or for the whole rental?
Event pricing covers the whole rental of 1 to 3 days, not a daily rate. A standard unit is from $165 including delivery and pickup. Stark and Trumbull County addresses add a flat $45 travel fee, shown on the quote.
