How does monthly porta potty rental in Cleveland work: the 28-day cycle

Quick answer

A monthly porta potty rental is billed in 28-day cycles that start on the delivery date. A standard unit runs from $145 per cycle plus Ohio sales tax, with delivery, pickup and weekly service included. The cycle renews on its own until you ask for pickup, and there is no long-term contract.

UnitMonthly price (per 28 days, before tax)
Standard porta pottyfrom $145
Wheelchair-accessible unitfrom $205
Deluxe flushing unit with sinkfrom $235
Hand-washing stationfrom $90

An example

  1. We deliver on March 3. Cycle 1 covers March 3 through March 30.
  2. The unit is still there on March 31, so cycle 2 starts.
  3. You text us on April 14 asking for pickup on April 16.
  4. Billing stops on April 16, the pickup date you asked for.

Card payment has no card fee, and there is no fuel surcharge or removal fee. See every line item on our porta potty rental cost page.

If I need it for only 2 weeks, why am I paying for a month?

Quick answer

A 2-week rental still pays one 28-day cycle, because the cycle price covers the 2 truck trips, the unit and the service visits. The truck trips are the biggest cost, and they are the same for 2 weeks or 4. One cycle with weekly service still costs less than a single 1–3 day event rental.

Compare the two ways to rent a standard unit:

  • Event rental: from $165 for 1 to 3 days, no service during the rental.
  • Monthly rental: from $145 per 28 days, with a service visit every week.

For anything longer than 3 days, the monthly rental is the better deal. For a single weekend party, book an event porta potty rental instead.

How do I stop billing or extend the rental?

Quick answer

Billing stops when you text or call 2 business days before the day you want pickup. Billing ends on that pickup date, and no new cycle starts after it. To extend, do nothing: the rental renews every 28 days at the rate on your quote, with weekly service continuing.

We do not pick up long-term units on our own, so a forgotten unit keeps billing. Put a reminder on your phone a few days before your project ends. Pickups run Monday to Saturday, never Sunday.

Need the end date open? That is fine. Many septic and remodel jobs run long, and the unit simply stays until you tell us.

My septic failed. Can I get one for a few months?

Quick answer

A septic failure or replacement is one of the best reasons for a monthly rental. One standard unit near the back door covers a household while the old system is dug out and the new one goes in. Weekly service keeps the unit clean, and you stop billing when the toilets work again.

Place the unit on the driveway or a gravel pad, away from the dig. The excavator and septic truck need room, and so does our truck. If the backup happened today, our same-day porta potty rental gets a unit out when you order by noon.

Homeowners doing a remodel use the same setup. If someone in the home uses a walker, order the wheelchair-accessible unit, which has a ground-level floor and grab bars.

Do you rent seasonal units for parks, marinas and ballfields?

Quick answer

Seasonal porta potty rentals for parks, marinas, ballfields, farms and churches run on the same 28-day cycle, often from April through October. Weekly service is included. Busy sites with weekend tournaments or boat traffic usually add twice-weekly service, or an extra visit for $55.

  • Ballfields: place units near the parking lot so the truck can reach them on pavement.
  • Marinas: a hand-wash station beside the toilets helps after fueling and fish cleaning.
  • Farms and farm stands: a unit near the barn for workers, with a gravel path for the truck.
  • Churches during renovation: a wheelchair-accessible unit plus standard units for services.

What does the weekly service include?

Quick answer

Weekly service on a monthly rental includes 5 steps: pump the waste tank, scrub and disinfect the walls, seat and floor, refill the deodorizer, restock paper and sanitizer, and refill sink water if the unit has one. Every 28-day cycle includes 4 visits at no extra cost.

A standard unit handles roughly 200 uses between services. A household or a small crew stays well under that. Leave the gate unlocked on service day, or text us the code. Read more about how porta potties are cleaned.

Can I keep a porta potty through the winter?

Quick answer

A monthly porta potty can stay through a Cleveland winter. From November through March we add a salt-brine or non-toxic antifreeze charge to the tank so it does not freeze. Keep a 4-foot path shoveled to the door and a truck path within 25 feet after lake-effect snow.

Hand-wash stations with water lines get swapped for sanitizer dispensers when lows stay below 28°F, on request. Seasonal sites that close for winter should call for pickup before the first hard freeze. See our winter porta potty rental tips.

Common questions

Does the 28 days start today or on the delivery date?

The 28-day cycle starts on the delivery date, not the day you book. If you book Monday and we deliver Wednesday, cycle 1 runs from that Wednesday. Each new cycle starts on day 29.

Does the monthly price go down after the first cycle?

The monthly price stays the same each cycle, from $145 per 28 days for a standard unit plus tax. Delivery is not added to the first cycle, so cycle 1 and cycle 10 cost the same. Nothing is added after booking.

Can I prepay for six months?

A long-term rental is billed one 28-day cycle at a time, so you never pay for months you might not use. Your card is billed at each renewal. Approved contractors and businesses can apply for a net-15 invoiced account instead.

Is there a contract for a year-long rental?

A year-long rental has no contract and no lock-in. The unit renews every 28 days with weekly service. Text or call 2 business days before you want pickup, and billing stops on that date.

We need it every Saturday through October. Is monthly better?

A unit needed every Saturday for several months is usually cheaper as a monthly rental, from $145 per 28 days with weekly service, than as weekly event rentals from $165 each. The unit stays put, and you add a lock with your own padlock.

Can I pick up the monthly porta potty early if the septic job finishes fast?

A monthly rental can end any time you ask. The first 28-day cycle is the minimum, and after that billing stops on the pickup date you request. Give us 2 business days' notice by text or call.
